Why use a sports pyschologist?

Working with a sports psychologist can help reduce your mental stress and help you have a more positive outlook on life.

The goal of using a sports psychologist is to help you feel better mentally about yourself.

Sometimes all it takes is one informed decision and belief in yourself to ensure your long-term wellbeing.

Think about the things that can help you achieve this in every aspect of your life, however minor they may seem.

My aim is to help you to understand where those feelings arise from, and how you can overcome them moving forward.

Changing perspectives on mental health

Mental health in sport

The challenges of a high-pressure job or training schedule such as football can take their toll on your wellbeing both mentally and physically.

Your mental wellbeing is so crucial in order not only to perform at your best, but to be able to enjoy family life.

Although there has been progression over the past years, mental health is still very much taboo for a lot of sportsmen.

Whether it is fear of being singled out as weak and unable to cope with the pressures of being a player, or being ridiculed. All too many times sports people do not seek help or advice until problems have escalated.

We are here to try and change this perspective, and create a safe confidential haven where sportsmen can seek the cause of their issues.

By seeking out the roots of the problem, we can help prevent the negatives that can arise through manifestation.

Let’s break the chain together.
